The C82 is the elite model of platform 2540 of the Shanghai Maple Automobile, which harnessed all the energy, and RnD expertise of both SMA Company and Jiaotong University. Shanghai Jiaotong University were the leaders of the noise reducing project and they have made great steps in the field of sound inside and outside vehicles. The C82 is the result of the research between Both SMA and the University. Bosch of Germany is responsible for the research & development ECU of the C82 engine.

.................................................................................................................The SMA C82 has made great strides in the area of digitalizing, electricity-driven and weight-lighten. The C82 improves the accuracy of the vehicle by the digital design and the analysis of components of the vehicles’ body. Iin the area of body design, CAE analysis means it isperformed to optimize doors, side of car and floorsl. The C82 is loaded with back-up radar and combines instruments that adopt the digital bodywork electronic technology which is an essential part of LIN assembly technology. Currently, the application of CAN/LIN technology is still in trial on conception vehicles, which is nowadays rarely used on practical vehicles while C82 is one of the few cars involved in the program. The power characteristics, the transform matching, the braking and controls are all optimized.
